Bill: SB 6229 (HB 2624) — 2018
Requiring employers to provide exclusive bargaining representatives reasonable access to new employees for the purposes of presenting information about their exclusive bargaining representative (Van De Wege, Chase, Conway)
Requires an employer to provide the exclusive bargaining representative with reasonable access to new employees of the bargaining unit to present information about their exclusive bargaining representative to the new employee.
EFFECT OF SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENTS
(1) Provides that an employer must provide the exclusive bargaining representative reasonable access to a new employee within ninety, rather than thirty, days of the employee's start date. (2) Provides that an employee may not be mandated to attend the meetings or presentations by the exclusive bargaining representative.
