Siting of institutions of higher education and accompanying facilities (Honeyford)
States that the growth management act does not prohibit certain counties from authorizing the extension of public facilities and utilities to serve a privately operated institution of higher education that serves fewer than two thousand students sited within five miles of an urban growth area if certain requirements are met.
SUMMARY OF 1ST SUBSTITUTE COMPARED TO ORIGINAL BILL
Allows counties planning under the Growth Management Act (GMA) to extend public facilities and utilities to small, private higher education institutions that are located in close proximity to an urban growth area.
