Mission, Vision, and Values
The Office of Planning & Budgeting (OPB) provides quality, comprehensive informed decision making and policy creation, analysis and interpretation regarding planning for and allocation of physical, financial and analytical resources.
As the University of Washington’s central analytical unit, the Office of Planning & Budgeting stewards timely, accurate, and complete information and analyses services, its members actively partnering with UW leaders in guiding strategic resource allocation and development, fostering new initiatives, and supporting dynamic decision-making.
The Office of Planning & Budgeting supports and implements goals set forth by the Board of Regents, President, Provost, and other senior leadership. OPB accomplishes this by: acquiring, analyzing, and sharing knowledge; ethically managing the financial, physical, and data resources entrusted to the UW; fostering an environment where growth, renewal and risk taking are supported; displaying graceful professionalism in relationships with institutional and external partners; and recognizing, respecting, and celebrating individual and collective differences and strengths.
